About Joy
Joy Dawson Thomas is your candidate for Judge of the 164th District Court in Harris County. She has three years of experience as an appointed judge in Harris County. She‘s been an attorney for 10 years, a Political Science professor at the University of Houston-Downtown for 10 years, and a trial advocacy professor of law at Thurgood Marshall School of Law for five years. In her spare time she enjoys coaching mock trial to students in middle school through law school that want to be trial lawyers.
